Greg Krischke (born November 15, 1952) is the current mayor of Leduc, Alberta. Krischke was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and has lived in Leduc since 1960.[1] He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1975 with a Bachelor of Physical Education degree. He served in many senior management positions with Air Canada until he was elected to the Leduc City Council in 1995, on which he served 3 terms as an alderman.[1] He was elected mayor in 2004, and was acclaimed mayor in the Alberta municipal elections, 2010.[2]
Krischke is married to Jo-Anne and has 2 children and 5 grandchildren.[1] On February 11, 2011 it was announced that Krischke would be taking a 2 month leave of absence to undergo surgery for prostate cancer, effective February 14, 2011.[3]
